Nanjing is the capital of Jiangsu province of the People's Republic of China and the second largest city in the East China region. Situated in the Yangtze River Delta region, Nanjing has a prominent place in Chinese history and culture, having served as the capital of various Chinese dynasties, kingdoms and republican governments dating back to the 3rd century, and has thus long been a major center of culture, education, research, politics, economy, transport networks and tourism, being the home to one of the world's largest inland ports. Nanjing has been ranked seventh in the evaluation of "Cities with Strongest Comprehensive Strength" issued by the National Statistics Bureau, and second in the evaluation of cities with most sustainable development potential in the Yangtze River Delta.
Nanjing International Expo Center located on the side of Yangtze River and in the center of Hexi District, and it’s one of the landmark buildings in the new city district. The overall design come from an American design firm Tvsdesign, which integrates the world’s advanced exhibition concepts and Nanjing local characteristics, echoing the unique urban style of Nanjing.
The Nanjing International Expo Center has a total planned land area of 427,000 square meters and a total construction scale of 360,000 square meters. The main building consists of three parts: the exhibition hall, the conference center and the hotel. It is a modern large-scale venue with multiple functions such as exhibition, conference, accommodation, catering and performance.
