Meeting with Vietnamese Ambassador to China
On September 3, Zhangtaolin, Vice Minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, met with Vietnamese Ambassador Dengmingkui in Beijing to exchange views on further strengthening agricultural cooperation between China and Vietnam.
Zhangtaolin said that the work of the "three farmers" is a common concern of China and Vietnam. The two sides have complementary advantages in agricultural cooperation and have great potential for development. It is hoped that the two sides will set up cooperation platforms for two-way investment and agricultural trade, promote the renewal of the Beibu Gulf Fisheries Cooperation Agreement between China and Vietnam, and raise the level of cooperation in all areas involving agriculture.
Dengmingkui thanked China for its strong support for Vietnam's agricultural development. He said that Vietnam and China have close high-level exchanges and are each other's important investment and trade partners. They have carried out practical cooperation in fisheries, rice and agricultural trade. Next year marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and China. We hope that the two sides will further deepen cooperation and make greater contributions to the development of bilateral friendly relations.
